Our Esteemed Leaders: Rosie, Logistics Manager; Lily, Grants and Public Outreach and Chloe, Scientific Coordinator
Traveling 5,550 miles to Sri Lanka, you’d hope to have a good set of companions to have your back and stop you getting lost in the various international airports and local taxi stations and long winding beaches on the way there. Fortunately that’s exactly what we’ve got! Below meet our glorious team, hand-picked from the only the best. The crème de la crème of Glasgow Uni expeditioners
Who could ask for three more capable, competent and cool-headed leaders. With Rosie, Lily and Chloe at the helm, all of us feel more than confident going into the great unknown.
All three were involved in the 2015 marine and freshwater Egypt expedition and are PADI qualified open water divers with Lily holding Divemaster and Chloe and Rosie looking to advance to Stress and Rescue before departing.

Nico
Our kickass Events Organiser! If brilliant Ball bashes are what you want or cool club nights Nico’s your gal! She’s fundraised for the Glasgow Uni Charity Fashion Show, is a PADI qualified open water diver and has taken part in several marine surveys.

Celine
Our valiant Treasurer, Celine, conjuring money out of thin air for us. (we wish!) A veteran of the Egypt marine expeditions Celine has her PADI Rescue Diver qualifications under belt and 80 logged dives backing her up.

Paddy
With incredible foresight, our Dive Officer Paddy decided that for his training for Sri Lanka, he’d take 5 years out after school and travel around the world becoming a fully qualified dive instructor. How thoughtful! Qualified First Responder, PADI Open Water instructor and a very experienced diver!

Dom
Managing small grants and public outreach is Dom! Fundraised with Glasgow uni and has completed several marine and freshwater surveys at GU’s Millport field station. He’s also part of the american football team.

The super, sublime, splendid, superlative Secretary Ruadhan! A watch leader onboard Ocean Youth Trust Yachts, has had many years sailing and climbing experience. Working on his PADI Open Water he generally spends more time climbing hills than under water but hey, how hard can it be!
