A huge thank you to all our sponsors

Our expedition would not be possible without the fantastic support from the following organisations:

University of Glasgow Exploration Society

Glasgow Natural History Society

The Glasgow Natural History Society works to encourage the study of natural history in West Scotland. It publishes it's own journal and newsletter and holds an excellent natural history library.

Linnean Society of London

This society dedicates itself to the study and subsequent dissemination of information relating to natural history, evolution, and taxonomy. In memory of the marine biologist Percy Sladen, the Linnean Society of London administers a trust fund in support of scientific research with a primary focus on field work.

RSK

RSK is an environmental consultancy firm, it works alongside companies to maximise their business potential whilst minimising social and environmental impacts. They are currently sponsoring the expedition and for more information you can find our previous blog entry on the homepage.

Dive Proof

Dive Proof provides waterproof books and accessories tailored for the scuba diving industry. They have generously donated several waterproof log books and expedition customized waterproof notebooks to our team! We have already put them to good use, and they are super useful. Their notebooks are resistant to water, grease, and even to your proverbial homework eating dog; sorry kids! Dive Proof has a strong commitment to the environment, this is reflected through their production methods; using synthetic paper to conserve forests, re-using paper trim during manufacture, and the packaging is even plastic free.

Rotary club of Nairn

Formed in 1946, the Rotary Club of Nairn is part of the larger international body of the Rotary Club. Formed from volunteers; it engages in numerous charitable fund-raising events supporting the local community, the Nairnshire challenge being one example. Team member Jack has been supported by the Rotary Club of Nairn throughout his life at school and university. Most recently they have sponsored Jack and the Expedition.

K-Dive

K-dive is an independent outdoor equipment store based in Coatbridge just outside Glasgow. They gave a massive help in getting our dive equipment professionally serviced before heading out to Sri Lanka.
